PROJECT KRON 2: 2012 VREDEHOEK

Construction Project: This upper floor apartment was extended upwards to build a bedroom and bathroom in the roof space, reached by a timber staircase.  Dormer windows and sliding glass doors created light and took advantage of the spectacular views.  Cupboards in the compact space was achieved by following the diagonal lines of the roof walls.

Project Kron: All building materials had to be carried up two levels in order to build. This required a massive amount of labour and greatly increased the time it took to complete this particular project.
